At ITEC we firmly believe that our apprentices are among some of the very best in Essex – it would appear we are not alone in thinking this. #Apprenticeships #Essex
Every year we nominate apprentices and employers for both local and national awards and this year is no exception. We have just had notification that three of our apprentices have been shortlisted as finalists in the Apprentice of the Year category at the Essex Countrywide Business Awards 2015.
Over the last 5 years an ITEC apprentice has won this title across the different districts in Essex and many more have been finalists.
Zena Haydon, who has just completed her Admin Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship at ATL Haulage in Tilbury, won the title for Thurrock earlier this year and we have high hopes for the next group of finalists at the next awards evening coming up in October 2015.
Melissa Goggin, who has just completed her IT Professional Level Advanced Apprenticeship with Gable Hall School in Stanford Le Hope, has been a finalist at these awards in both 2013 and 2014. She has also won numerous awards at ITEC for outstanding achievement.
George Donovan, who has just completed his Admin Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship with Gilbarco Veeder-Root in Basildon, won the ‘Malcolm Bridges Award’ at the ITEC Annual Awards Ceremony in 2015 and has since received the Mission Recognition Award at work as nominated by his peers and selected as a winner by Gilbarco’s Senior Management Team.
Last but not least is Millie Clarke, a level 3 Customer Service Apprentice at Mercedes Benz in Southend, who has already competed her level 2 programme. Millie was a finalist in this year’s ITEC Awards. This year’s awards will be held on 2nd October at the Cliffs Pavilion in Southend. We will be there to cheer on our apprentices and hopefully celebrate another one of our ‘Awesome’ young people taking the title of ‘Apprentice of the Year’…watch this space!
