The 2014 ITEC Awards Evening – celebrating 30 years in business


It’s that time of year again!  The ITEC Awards 2014 were held at Bowers Gifford Football Club on Thursday 10th April 2014.

This year, ITEC is celebrating 30 years in business and the awards night formed part of our commemorative events to mark this historic landmark by fund-raising  for 3 local charities;

Be Child Cancer Aware,Jazz Hands Sept 13 Hamelin Trust and the Indee Rose Trust.

The 2014 winners were announced and the results are:-

Adult Learner of the Year – Awarded for outstanding achievement and effort for over 19 year olds undertaking a part-time course with ITEC (non-apprenticeshFlorenceip courses)

Winner – FLORENCE NYAGURA

Runner-up – WENDY GREEN

CompTIA learner of the Year – A special award recognising the effort and achievement of learners undertaking CompTIA exams as part of their coursework

Winner – RHYS BILNER

Runner-up – JAMIE KEMP

Microsoft learner of the Year – A special award recognising the effort and achievement of learners undertaking Microsoft exams as part of their coursework

Winner – CAIUS AJIZ

Runner-up – TORIN GRIMES

Employer of the Year – Awarded for outstanding development and support of learners at work

Winner – CENTRAL EASTERN COMMISSIONING UNIT (NHS)

Runner-up – JARDINE MOTORS GROUP

Line Manager of the Year – Awarded for outstanding development and support of learners at work

Winner – ANDREW ELLIOTT (Ipeco Holdings Limited)

Runner-up – RICHARD BOWLES (Gable Hall School)

IT Apprentice of the Year – Awarded for outstanding achievement by a level 2 apprentice undertaking an IT Diploma apprenticeship

Winner – EMMA MALIN

Runner-up – BEN TRUMPER

Business Admin Apprentice of the Year – Awarded for outstanding achievement by a level 2 apprentice undertaking a Business Administration, Digital Marketing or Customer Service apprenticeship

Winner – LUKE BLIGH

Runner-up – PAIGE STACEY

Social Media Apprentice of the Year – Outstanding achievement by a Social Media apprentice

Winner – JAMES WHITE

Runner-up – CHLOE THORNTON

Advanced Apprentice of the Year – Outstanding achievement by a level 3 apprentice

Winner – SUSANNAH MAYO

Runner-up – CAIUS AJIZ

The ‘Malcolm Bridges’ Award – This award is to recognise the achievement and effort of a learner who has overcome barriers or difficulties to achieve the outcomes on his/her course

Winner – MELISSA GOGGIN

Runner-up – DAN SNOW

3 special awards to commemorate ITEC’s 30th Anniversary

Mentor of the Year – Janice Mott – Central Eastern Commissioning Support Unit (NHS)

Mentor of the Year – Dawn Bruce – Mercedes Benz of Southend (part of Jardine Motors Group)

Loyalty Award for services to ITEC – Nyki Dilworth – Vertical Systems Group and voluntary director of ITEC
